Hi Everyone,

Hoping to get some answers regarding the I-134.

My fiance only works part time, and does not met the required povety line. However my fiance's aunt has kindly agreed to sponsor me, as her salary is way above the povety line.

Below is all the documentation we have thus far, is there anything else we need?

Completed I-134

Last 3 years W2's

Last 3 pay stubs

Letter from employer

In addition to this, is my fiance still required to complete a 1-134, even though she will not be the one sponsoring me?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, your fiance is still required to complete the I-134 and submit tax returns, W-2's, etc... Your fiance's aunt will be the co-sponsor but your fiance is still the primary sponsor.

Thank you for your reply.

My fiance is coming over to spend christmas with me and will be staying for 2 months, therefore she will be quiting her job. So by the time I attend the interview, my fiance will actually be unemployed.

Apart from completing the I-134, will my fiance need to submit any documentation apart from her W2's? (Obviously she won't have a letter from her employer, as she will no longer be employed.

Thanks again.

The only thing your fiance will need to submit is her I-134, W-2's and at least her 2010 tax return. If your interview takes place after April 15, 2012 she'll need to submit her 2011 tax return as well. Lack of letter of employment will not be an issue as she will be unemployed at the time you interview.

Just be sure her co-sponsor meets the income requirements for her household size (plus you).
