Hello,

Could someone please explain to me the difference between the two? I'm assuming that I'm sending my K1 paper work to Texas lockbox center then they'll forward that to my local USCIS? I'm from Omaha, Nebraska, so the local USCIS will be my point of contact from now on? Thanks for the help

I-129F NOA2 : 2012-05-15

NVC Received : 2012-06-22

NVC Left : 2012-06-28

Consulate Received : 2012-07-02

Packet 3 Received : Called DOS on 07/3 and package 3 sent out. We didn't wait for the "physical" package. My fiance' mailed DS2001 and DS230 part I

out the next day via EMS. You don't have to wait for pkg3. You can download and fill it out ahead of time.

Someone else chime in if i'm incorrect:

The lockbox, officially known at the USCIS Application Support center does the grunt work of opening the packages, sorting, cashing the checks etc.... They are referred to as the Dallas Lockbox, although they are actually located in Lewisville which is another city approximately 45 minutes North of Dallas.

There is also a USCIS service center located inside Dallas, and others in Vermont and several other strategic locations. Your package will be sent to one of these based on factors outside of your control. It seems that most of the K-1 submitters on this forum are processed through the Vermont Service Center, but thats just my speculation.

I'll let some of the grizzled vets chime in and provide more accurate info on where your package may end up, but hopefullly I have provided at least a preliminary answer.

Thanks for the response. Which address do I use for the Fiance Letter of Intent? I'm following the guide on here, and the letter head has this info

United States Department of Homeland Security

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

(USCIS service center address)

Is it the address of the Lockbox Center ?

Thanks

You cant use the service center as there is not one assigned at this point, so yes the lockbox address would be used,

I used the "actual street address on my Letter of Intent vs the PO box, but either should work: Here is the direct info from he USCIS website:

The USCIS Dallas Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067
