They might. There is no guarantee.

Take the passport with you to the interview and make a copy of it as well.

If they ask you to produce it show it, if they ask your about the gulf stamps tell them about it.

You want to prepare for ALL angles of this process, good or bad. It is the only way you can truly be prepared for it.

I prepared twice as hard for the bad then the good. Any scenario you could think of I had it covered or I had the means to solve it quickly.

This was the only way it allowed me to sleep at night and truly told both of us that we are prepared for anything they could throw at us.

My wife went in with almost 10kg of relationship evidence to the interview. They did not ask for any of it...

Hi ashgijo,

do we need to get police clearance from local police to get passport clearance?

i think we can get it directly from passport office? did u check passport office abt this?

dave and kinnari...how does a PASSPORT clearance certificate look...i got my local police certificate..now going to get the police certificate of the place where i did my college...then i need to submit both those to get a passport clearance...

I would get it regardless. You never know when you might need it again.

It's a simple process and it's something worth to have in this process.

the police from my local police sation told me i had to get that first and then go to the passport office..either way safer to have both...u never know...ok so heres my question...

WE SUBMIT ORIGINAL BIRTH CERT,ORIGINAL MARRIAGE CERT,ORIGINAL POLICE CLEARANCE,PASSPORT COPIES,PHOTOS,COMPLETED DS-230 FORMS TO NVC....AND ONE SE OF NORMAL PHOTOCOPIES FOR ALL THE ORIGINAL DOCS....AM I RIGHT????

AND...FOR VFS SUBMIT NORMAL PHOTOCOPIES....AND FOR INTERVIEW ALSO NORMAL PHOTOCOPIES..AS WE ALREDY WOULD HAVE SENT THE ORIGINAL TO NVC....AM I RITE???

ALSO.... DO WE NEED TO GET THE MEDICAL DONE AND THEN GO TO VFS? WHICH SHOULD BE DONE FIRST??
