Hello all,

I am trying to put together all the necessary documents for the Packet 3.

I was hoping someone could help with with exactly what needs to be sent back to the Embassy.

What forms do I need to send back? Do I send copies? Do I have to sign all the documents.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I asked a similar question a few weeks ago, in short, just what it asks for in the letter.

DS-xxx forms are mailed to London. Everything else is taken in hand to the interview.

Here is a useful forum exclusively for London:

DS230 only send part one if you are a K1 (that's the first two pages only). Do not sign. One copy.

DS156 Sign It. Two copies.

DS156K One Copy. Do Not sign. This form is an oath.

DS157 Two Copies. Do Not sign.

DS2001 Do sign it. One copy. It is a form showing readiness for interview (i.e that you have all the necessary documentation ready)

Good luck!!

How come you don't have to sign these documents if it says "Signature and date" on the bottom of it (for example, page 2 of the DS- 230 part I) My fiance will be having to fill out these forms soon, so I was just curious as to why. thanks!

Because ultimately they DO need to be signed, hence the marking for it on the form, but they need to be witnessed/signed on the day at the interview. I sent my packet three back last week and followed these guidelines as they are as per instructions from many others who have gone through the same submission. If in any doubt...call the embassy to check, but seriousy, the above IS accurate ;)

I agree with calling the embassy when in doubt :) These forums are wonderful - and when you post in the UK forum there are people there with a lot of experience and knowledge who can answer almost anything. I always posted my questions there...but, my fiance felt more comfortable getting his answers from the embassy (if they were big questions that could possibly impact the visa negatively). He called the embassy for maybe 2-3 different questions. The people there were always very polite and answered his questions. All of the answers, except for one, were the exact same thing that I found out on these forums. But for him, it was better to hear it from the embassy, more "official" I guess.
