MC,BC.AND other Doc.9are really need to have a red ribbon?(authenticated by dfa?

Hi Vj members! specially to those who are already start process their CR-1 outside Philippines.

I would like to ask that if the documents like Marriage contract,birth certificate are need to be authenticated by the dfa or NSO?

I got my BC aauthenticated by NSO and now waiting my MC which is still under NSO manila.

are they really need to authenticate agin by the dfa? which they called it red ribbon.

and since im working outside country i took my nbi last Sept 6 in manila when i had my vacation and my wedding as well .

My question is do MY nBI really need to authentication(redribbon)?.

and how many pcs each original documents i need with the red ribbon?.

I know i have a lot question but i will be heartedly appreciate your response .

Documents doesn't need to have that red ribbon authentication. You worked abroad? Because one requirement also is getting a police clearance from the country you worked at, this is needed at the NVC Processing but it's better to have it ready. Read on the guides above for CR-1 Processing and also read on US Embassy Manila's website. Good luck!

Thanks so much! coz they said that all document now specially who are use outside philippines need red ribbon. like my MC i will rene it soon tis year and also for status change they said nedd authenticated MC with red ribbon .thats wht the Phil.Embassy here told me so.i will check and search too. thanks you for quick response.

Ok, now I'm kind of confused. What kind of CR-1 Process will you take? Is it Direct Consular Filing? And is it outside Philippines? If so, where?

If you're currently working overseas, which Consulate are you planning to have your interview? Will you come back to the Philippines and have your interview in Manila US Embassy? When it comes to US Visa Processing, you have to talk to a US Embassy representative about the requirements and not with the Philippine Embassy. You sure don't want to spend on those red ribbon authentication fees if it's not even required.
