My wife had interview on June 21st, 2011 at Mumbai Consulate and end of the interview she was given white 221g and submit following documents.

1. Marriage photos

2. Honeymoon photos

3. Western union receipt

4. My job letter

5. My w2 for 2009

6. Hotel receipt

7. Plane ticket

8. Email

I did submit 300 total photos ( vfs person didn't want to take all the photos but I made her do it), 500 + email copies, all the hotel recipt, so on.... I submitted on June 29th with her passport.

June 3oth, they sent her passport back with 221g letter.

We are waiting since June 29th and it's really frustrating for us. My wife is staying alone and going through depression with visa situation. We are losing our hope each day passing by.

Also I did have my congresswoman inquiry at the embassy and didn't help that much at all..

Calling Dos three times a week to find out... No hope so far.... Contact few attorney and they are not much of help.

I guess I have no option... Just wait.

I sent an email inquiry to embassy today and will update with you guys..

Thanx

Sorry to hear that. Can you let us know why you got the 221g to start with? Didn't you take the photos and other stuff with you? Why did they ask for 2009 W-2, when 2009 and 2008 are optional (since you don't have your timelines, I am guessing you filed your AOS in 2011).

I am really sad to hear that you been waiting since June. I do not understand why they did ask you Western Union Receipt, job letter and W2-2009. During NVC process I guess you must have submitted employment letter and tax transcripts for the last 3 years. If so there is no point why asked you again.

let us know if you hear any latest update from DOS?

Well when my had interview on June 21st only one out of ten got the iv visa. Mumbai consulate is very restricted in IV visa. So be very very careful at interview and prepare very well.

The wanna see if I supported my wife while I am in USA. I did give my w2 and job letter, 3 years tax return straight to NVC and I don't know why they wanted again.

I don't know guys I am crossing my finger.... I don't know what to do

Sorry I am Using my iPhone to reply.... More details later
