I am a newby to this site and so far I can say that I have been relieved to find a lot of helpful information. After what seemed like a long and arduous ordeal with getting the I-129f form approved, I am to wait more. My Petition for Alien Fiance(e) was approved on September 1st and has not yet reached the Visa Center in New Hampshire. I want to be as proactive as possible with the next step of the process. Can I pull the I-134 Affidavit of Support form from the USCIS web site and fill it out and forward to my fiance along with my tax returns from the past 3 years, and statement from my bank? :help:

Hi and welcome!

For the I-134 I printed it from the site, filled it out, had it notarized, printed my bank statements for the past 6 months, letter from bank, letter from employer, and last 3 years tax transcripts... then I sent it off to my fiance in Morocco for his interview.

If you need anything don't hesitate to ask!

Good luck!

Sarah

Welcome to VJ. Sounds like you have things covered so far. I hope you will be able to confirm with NVC your new case number and then with Casa to receive your appointment date. I also sent a new letter of intent to marry right before my then fiance's interview. Good luck on your journey.

Hi Doreen,

I have been trying to be as proactive as possible with paperwork, which seems like that is I all I am doing. I printed the I-134 form from the USCIS web site. I used two pieces of paper and had it notorized. Will this be sufficient for the government? Do I need to make more copies? If so, how many? Do I need to make copies of the items I sent to the government initially for the I-129f and then send with the new info to my fiance?

I made three originals of the I-134... two I sent to David (one for him, one for the Consulate), one I kept myself. All three were notarized. I also wrote an updated letter of intent and had that notarized.

I also sent him all of my NOAs (I kept copies and sent him the originals with one copy of each). When he was here in May, I sent him home with a copy of our entire I-129F packet, just so he had it.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
