I'm too wound up to sleep right now. In a few hours my love is going to the embassy for his interview. A few hours after that, he will phone me to tell me how it went. It's just amazing to me - all these months of waiting and planning, the research, the IM chats, the e-mails, the increasingly frequent phone calls - this process we started in January is coming to a head and I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach with nerves about it.

At the same time, I'm letting myself be a little hopeful. These visas are rarely denied, from what I've heard. I'm just fretting that we'll be one of those rare denials. Then what? We appeal? We further investigate my going to him? Because a life without him in it is not an option. We're too much a part of one another now and this time apart has only made us more determined.

Gah! How do you people even sleep when something momentous, something that will affect the rest of your lives together is about to occur across the ocean within a few short hours?

Thanks for listening.

I can't wait until our day! I know I'll be so nervous and excited for him. I wish it were me, because I'd just tell them nonsense until they told me to shut up, whereas he is more reserved haha. I love to brag about him :)

Congratulations, Tumbleweed!

Jessa, according to John the interview was a breeze, though he did a lot of sitting around and waiting. He was asked how we met, whether I had met his parents, whether they were coming to the wedding, when he was flying back, then he was told it was approved and he was sent to see the courier. I might put up a summary for the reviews in a while. :-)
