which line do you need to stand at the port of entry while entering the US first time on a immigrant visa, is it the permanent residents line or which one?

also on the CBP form that you fill on plane which form do you fill, is it just the one blue form? or anything else. on this form it asks for the country of residence so do you put your home country or US since this is the first time you are entering US?

On my last trip coming back to JFK airport, I asked the officer the same question. He told me that if I traveled with my husband we can go to the citizen line, if he is coming alone he can go to the residents line.

I don't know what forms my hubby would have to fill out besides the big blue one, so i told him to ask the flight attendants.
