Quality Inn is THE place to stay--close by, nice, relatively cheap--can't go wrong and you will meet all sorts of people going through the easy path that we are all on as well as those who had major immigration violations, and have gone through hell just to get to the interview so they can be officially denied a visa so they can file for a waiver, and then wait wait wait way beyond what any of us has endured.

It will break your heart to hear some of their stories, but know this--we are all in this together no matter how we got to the endpoint.

best wishes--it is so close now.

You can change your interview date, but you can't do it online you would have to get in touch with the consulate in Juarez and they could arrange it, though it might take weeks, it all depends on their availability...

I stayed at the Quality Inn hotel, and yes it's within walking distance from the consulate and the clinics, it's nice and clean and the price is reasonable.. There's plenty of places to eat and the area is quite safe

I'm confused. You previously talked about flying from Tijuana to CDJ--if you are in Mexico, you are not going to be able to fly to El Paso unless you have a valid visa, or did I misunderstand about flying from Tijuana, or do you have a valid visa?? In any case, it does cost about $50 from El Paso airport to Quality Inn, assuming that you in fact will fly into El Paso.

Hi Need...

He will not be approved for a visa at the interview due to the illegal entry followed by 2 years here. He will receive a ten year ban if he hasn't already. The next step after being rejected is to file for an extreme hardship waiver using the I-601...you need to go to www.immigrate2us.net immediately to start preparing for the next steps....they are the experts in your type of case, and you will get much more help than from this site.

Best wishes....you have a lot of work ahead of you.

Seriously, Need...

If he was here illegally for two years, and has returned to Mexico (or will in the near future), it is IMPERATIVE that he not come back illegally, or it will trigger what is called 9© which will trigger a lifetime ban that can only be waived after TEN YEARS outside the US. This is a very serious situation, and at the bare minimum, go to www.immigrate2us.net TODAY to start looking at your options. There are thousands of people on that site with your situation and worse, and they we help in every possible way. Once his visa is rejected, you can take the next steps....take the time now to learn what they are.

One other thing--since your time line says you have been apart for over a year, have you already filed for a waiver?? Or is this the adjudication of the DS-230 ?? There is a very important difference.

Hi Need...

The more I look at your case, the more confused I am. You need to start a new thread here as well as at www.immigrate2us.net so we can understand everything. You need to provide a complete time line of ALL immigration issues, and it also isn't clear from your profile who is filing for who since it says you are the beneficiary, but then you say he is going for the interview, so please start with a fresh thread and tell us everything, and then we can help. Right now it is too confusing.
