Judy had her interview today and I just got a short text from her. Apparently she passed the interview but she says they told her St Lukes has not forwarded the medical report yet. That would be cool

if she just had the medical last week, but she passed that over a month ago. I don't believe St Lukes has failed to forward the report. I believe the embassy has misplaced it. I guess this is a good news

bad news senario. I guess I'll have to start making phone calls. What a pain in the butt.

Oh yeah

It took me about 5 minutes to find out from ST lukes that they sent the medical results to the Embassy on July 25th via 2go service. Spent maybe 5 minutes in the phone maze of the embassy and then I hit the star key, It said that is an incorrect choice but then it offered to let me talk to a person.

They kept Judy's passport and gave her a form letter with 2 boxes checked.

the first was Medical examination results for you

The second was Wait until you hear from us: Your case requires further administrative processing/review. Wait for a letter telling you when to return to the Embassy with the documents marked above.

I told the lady that the results were sent on July 25. She said that my concerns would be noted. She was very concerned with specifically what the letter said. Then she said ok that answers that.

then she said wait for them to notify us. like she was saying just follow the instructions on the letter.

My concern was that that they would put her file in a pile waiting for St lukes to send the report instead of looking for the report they already have.

I said so you will look for the report? She said yes but I was left with the impression more than anything that I had been blown off.

Yes I had been blown off. (very politely)

OK, I skipped one day and called back tonight.

CALL CENTER HOURS AND CONTACT INFORMATION

The Embassy’s call center numbers for information and appointment scheduling are: (02) 902-8930 and (02) 982-5555. For calls from the continental United States, dial (214) 571-1600. The call center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Manila time, Monday through Friday.

I used the above 214 number. They asked for the mnl #, full name ect. they listened politely to my concerns. which I explained in detail. She was ending the call and I said wait a minute.

Can you tell me why I called? I explained I wanted to be sure we were communicating.

She said I was calling to see if St lukes had sent the records yet.

I stopped her with "WRONG" then I explained again.

she said hold please

Then she told me to go to the embassy web site look under contact info and use the number

for the non immigrant visa section.

I said "am I not talking to the embassy"? She said yes but we are the scheduling something yada yada and they cant help me. I didnt say it but I thought "why didnt you tell me that 20 minutes ago" or better yet the girl that I talked to for 40 minutes a couple days ago could have told me that.

anyway they list a 1-888 number for non immigrant visas which simply dosnt work.

So I dropped down to the immigrant visa number and called that, 63 2 301-2000

in the simple maze that followed I chose immigrant visa on a hunch and the lady that answered said I was in the right place. I explained the situation in less than two minutes. She asked me to hold and was she was gone a couple of minutes, came back and said ok we got it. the reason it wasn't attached to her file was that it arrived at the embassy a couple of days before the file did.

She said she will pass it on to the guy in charge of it and the Visa will be sent out.

So we lost a couple days, but all's well that ends well
