So my husband lost his job and we have a cosponsor lined up. He should have another job next week- but due to his inconsistant work history we thought it would be better to get one rather than relying on his income.

But I wanted to apply for grants and scholarships to do a masters in social work or an LPN in the US. Will having a cosponsor who earns 40-45k effect this?

I have a health and psychology BA (1st), but I have realised that jobs are limmited unless you do further education.

I will not be asking my cosponsor to help me finacially- the sponsorhsip is just a formality for the green card.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

All immigrants have sponsors who file the affidavit of support forms. It won't affect your applications for student loans, grants etc.

Go for the LPN. America is short of nurses!
