multiple questions... any help would be greatly appreciated.

so if you have a co-sponsor do you need to prove domicile in the U.S. still? or does the co-sponsor off set the fact that the USC is in canada along with the beneficiaries and intends to return with the IR1 beneficiaries once the visa is issued by obtaining a job and moving back. (but no job lined up before then.)

what happens if papers are sent and they want to see proof of domicile (job or otherwise) do the papers/process essentially stay on "pause" at the embassy (montreal in this case) until a job is lined up? or do they somehow reset? i.e. could you file in advnce and have everything work it's way through and then send along proof of a job once you have one?

also, would a co-sponsor need to fill out an i864 for each beneficiary... i.e. spouse, and "x" children if applicable? or just 1 period regardless of how many applicants?

Montreal has been very picky about domicile in the past and I do not believe having a co-sponsor will absolve you of having to prove domicile. Have a read through the pinned thread in the Canada forum ( Proving Domicile).

If you do not provide sufficient proof at you interview your approval will be pending until you submit the evidence they require. You will not be given a visa until then and unfortunately Montreal does not have a stellar record of turn-around times in these situations. It is best to have solid evidence going into the interview. Good luck!

Oops, I just saw your post in the pinned thread in the Canada forum. You might get better feedback if you post a dedicated thread in the Canada forum. :)
