hi guys. We have this situation that i the beneficiary living in canada as a temporary resident. I have an application that is on going which is the extension of my stay where i have to wait for their reply from the immigration canada. We decided with my fiance(petitioner) to transfer my files to US Embassy. For almost two months they received my files and i'm booked for interview this august 25 and the validity of NOA for K1 visa is on

September 4, 2011. Now i want to reschedule my interview because i want to hear their response from canada immigration.

My question, is there any harm on my paper if we book my interview after the expiration date of my NOA K1 visa?

Thanks so much.

Gloria,

You would have to fill out an application for extension. An example of this is in either the downloads or example forms sections on here. If you wait until after the K1 expiration to attend your interview and have not applied for an extension, you and your fiance will have to go through the entire application process again. I hope this answered your question.
