Hi there, A few questions, Have you paid for your Visa yet? Did you include everything in your packet 3 at once? By that I mean did you put the DS-2001 readiness form with cover letter in there? Also have you called the DOS and asked if both your medical and your packet 3 has been received by the embassy and logged? I would do that tomorrow. Just call them and ask those questions and if they say yes ask if an interview has been scheduled. Jock got his packet 4 but never got his packet 3 even though it was mailed. Maybe your packet 4 is lost or hung up in transit  If they tell you that you have an interview ask when a letter was sent, if it was a long time ago ask them how to get a new one resent as the original never made it. Let us know what happens! Good luck :)

if you don't have it, you should any day. You need to call. I was told that your packet 4 gets mailed out 2 weeks after medical is logged, so about 3 weeks after medical. It seems you are there, now. You need to make sure they have it all. Interview date could be 2 weeks or 6 weeks off.

Hi yes, this is the order of how i did things

  1. Returned packet 3 - including cover letter and DS 2001
  2. Paid for Visa
  3. Attended medical

I will certainly call DOS tomorrow and see if they can shed any light & will let you know the outcome.

Thank you all for the speedy responses. :luv:

I'll be interested to hear how you got on too. I had my medical the same date as you and had sent off my packet 3 as well prior to that, and was advised I have no interview scheduled as yet when I phoned them today. I have to say that, generally, I stay calm but this part of the process is starting to get to me a bit. I thought this was meant to be the fast part of the process, but that isn't the case at all.

Yep, both have been logged but no interview date assigned. I'm just having a bad day, I think, but I didn't realise I'd be almost 2 months after my NOA2 with no interview date set. I know they're busy but..I just want to be able to plan..something.

Well, I'm now in the same situation as you. After calling DOS, all they could tell us is that "we should be hearing from the Embassy very soon".

I'm totally with you on being unable to budge now until packet 4 but just think, this is the very last part of the process......upto receipt of Visa that is.

Keep me updated if you hear anything, I will update this thread as soon as I have any news too.

Hi there

Just wanted to let you know that I contacted DOS today, and I have an interview date of the 26th August. I haven't received Packet 4 yet, but it's on its way, according to the guy I spoke to. So, I'm hoping you'll hear something soon too as our timelines are very similar.
