HELP!! Name Modification on K-1 Application

When I filed I-129F for my Fiance in China. There was a typo in one of the characters for my Fiance's Chinese name. Although they sounded the same. they were written differently. The English name is correct. We did not realize it until they sent the package 3 to him and on the letter cover his name was written wrong in Chinese.

We sent in an inquiry to the GuangZhou Consulate asking to modify his Chinese name. They responded that they will sent an package to him with forms that he needs to fill out in 2 weeks. It has now been 2 weeks and he still didn't received any package regarding the name modification.

Yesterday, he received P4 with notification with date for his interview at the end of this month. We are worry that his name will not be corrected before the interview.

Has anyone been through the same situation? Does anyone know what needs to be done?

How can I make sure his name is modified on file?

They may not correct the name change in time and they may issue you a blue slip during interview anyway. But this should be easy to overcome. Don't worry too much about this? Did you email the embassy and ask for a follow up? Good luck on your interview.

Yes, I did, I sent an follow up email stating my Fiance haven't recieved the package for name modification yet. And someone there responded that If the name in Chinese is wrong, that is ok. As long as the PingYing is correct. Is that right? or I think they are just trying to brush me off?

I think it's critical that the name is in line with my Fiance's passport name. So I wrote another Email back and hopefully they will help us Modify the name this time.
