You need to get that fixed, coz during my interview, the prescreener encircled the names, (given, middle and surname) and compared it with the passport. You ca have that fixed at the local registrar where your birth was registered, will prolly take a month or so to process.

You may be right but how could they compare my birthcertificate since i am using my husbands last name already.. On my passport my middle name now is my maiden name.

Passport is not the only document they look for during the interview. I'm pretty sure that you filled out your full maiden name in your i-130 form and your ds-230 and if your birth certificate appears blank on the box that says middle name, it will cause the pre-screener or even the consul to ask why is it missing in the official NSO SECPA copy of your BC. Just a thought.

But it is still up to you if you want to gamble on that one piece of important document and go ahead use the same BC without middle name. And bear in mind that your BC is your primary identifier, one that will prove that you are who you claim to be, meaning it is the first thing they look for during the interview with the pre-screener

THat I can't answer coz my husband filed the petition here in the Philippines to make it even faster (through Direct Consular Filing). It took us 124 days from date of filing till getting our visa approved. What I can tell you, though, is that during the interview when my husband came with me this morning, there were more questions directed to him than to me, like where he used to work, what does he do for a living in the US. For me, the pre-screener only asked me to state my name, my birthdate, asked me when and where we met and if I was ever out of the country. The consul just asked me how long we are married (7 months) and we're done.

And if you don't mind me asking, are your parents married? coz this might be a valid reason why you and your sibling do not have middle names. If that's the case, then you can justify why you don't have middle name, meaning it's okay for you and your siblings to not have one. But if your parents are married, then you need to get a clearer copy of your BC from the registrar. Maybe its a clerical error, like my father's name does not have jr. because they said that the carbon paper was not "effective" enough that's why it did not reflect on the BC that the local registrar submitted to nso.
