Police Certficate for Medical?

My now husband had a medical done Feb 2010 for K1 visa...now since we are doing the CR1 thing he's required to have another medical. He didn't need to have a police certificate for his medical in Feb of 2010 but I just read in another post that this is required? When going to the information on the U.S. Embassy website and reading the information for Knightsbridge I still didn't read anything in regards to needed a police certficate...can someone tell me what I'm missing?

Seems people are being told this when they call to book the medical. Other than that you're right, it doesn't seem to be written anywhere.

Hi there

You're correct - it's not written anywhere. However, when you ring to book the medical you're advised that you need to present it. I had my medical today, and I was asked for it (only the British one though, even though I had another one with me). I talked to someone who was there for a CR1, and he was asked for it too (and that actually held up his medical as he didn't have one, so he had to re-schedule to today's appointment). So, no, it's not written anywhere, but the fact it's not appears to be an oversight.

Strange really because a year ago they didn't require it. I wonder why they are asking for it now.
