TN Visa AOS interview questions

Hi Everyone,

First off, thanks for reading this and any tips you might have

I am on a TN visa and have filed my AOS a few months ago. My interview letter should be coming in within a few weeks. Like many people, I'm worried about the interview. Can anyone please tell me the type of questions that the officer asks regarding the TN visa and my current employment?

I'm thinking of quiting the job that I have under the TN visa once I receive my EAD. I'm not sure if that's a good idea because I don't know the type of proof that the officer will want at the interview. For instance will they want to look at pay stubs and tax returns? How much emphasis is put on the TN visa versus the marriage?

Any information would be very helpful!

Why are you worried about the interview?

I was on a TN and married a USC and adjusted status. He asked why we waited 1.5 years after the marriage to adjust status and I told him it was because we only decided to adjust status once I got pregnant as I may not go back to my job. We had planned to immigrate to Canada (my country) after my 3 year TN was up. So that was my reason to adjust.

And quit your job once you get the EAD if you want. You're not stuck to your job once you get the EAD. I'm not sure why you would think it was a bad idea.

My IO focused on when I had last entered the country and did I have proof of legal entry (stamp in my passport, which I had). Just be honest.

Is it something in particular you are worried about? Did you marry a USC?
