Annyang Haseyo from Seoul, South Korea!

My Korean fiance' and I are planning on getting married here in Seoul next month. I will be finishing up my missionary work here this month, and am planning on returning to the USA at the end of July to possibly teach classes at a university in the fall(I just applied for the position, so we're waiting on the approval by the committee). If I don't get the professorship, I will be seeking a call to serve as pastor of a church during the summer months.

She would like to accompany me to the States after our marriage so that we can look for housing together, have a small family wedding ceremony in the USA, do some traveling, etc. We're also planning on attending a missionary conference together at the end of July. She will return to Korea for a brief time in October to attend her younger brother's wedding, but outside of that, we would like to begin our married life together rather than apart.

I read that the K-3 visa was recently changed in 2010 in order to allow one's spouse to travel to the USA, while awaiting for their visa to be approved, so that couples don't have to be apart during the waiting time.

Am I correct in my understanding?

What would be the best route for us to take?

The most recent posts categorized under the K-3 visa on Visajourney.com seem to go back several years ago or more. Given the recent changes made regarding the K-3 Visa in 2010, I'm not sure if the information there still applies.

Thanks for any help you can offer!
