You have the correct form. The expiration date is referring to some administrative thing that has nothing to do with immigration and need not concern you. All you must ensure is that you have the most recent form, and you do :-)

I think that as long as you are downloading and completing the current forms loaded to the USCIS website, then you should be fine. Remember to take the printed forms with you, but also a USB drive with the forms to the DR (but do not take this USB drive to the Embassy itself, just to the country in case you need to print them again for some reason).

Best wishes! (F)

Here is a link to an updated DS-156 : http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf , but I'm confused about what this is?

I mean why would DOS put two different ones on their web site, and the official link point to the old one. But I haven't tried the other one so I don't know if it prints out the barcode or not.

If that confuses you, which it does me, I would fill them both out! Good luck!

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

Here is the link for the updated DS 156:---> DS156 Once this link takes you to the DS156 form you will see that at the top right hand corner the date of expiration still says 5/31/2011. But, once you fill it out and press continue (at the bottom of that page) it will then direct you to the next page and you will see the updated form filled out with your info and the barcode on it. Remember to print 2 copies. Good Luck!!
