Hi, I am currently in J1 status (not subject to 2 yrs home residency) and I have got the admission to a graduate school Fall 2011(This school charges SAME tuition for in-state residents and international students).

My boyfriend's EB2 PD is current now and we are planning to get married and file i485 soon.

I just have a few questions regarding this. and I will greatly appreciate any advice and suggestions.

(1) So if I get married this month and file 485 asap, when will I get the AOS status? From the date I file 485 or from the date I get the receipt of 485?

(2) I applied for admission to that school last year as international student and they are processing an I -20 for me now. the i20 will probably arrive in 2-3 weeks. But if I become AOS in July (for example), can I register in late August as a full time student with AOS? If I can, do I need to do anything with the I-20?

(3) If my 485 is rejected during my graduate study, is there anyway that I stay and finish my degree (it is a one-yr master from Fall 2011-may 2012)?

I will greatly appreciate any advice and suggestions.
