Passport clearance/ Police certificate

Hai All,

I'm from India, Chennai. I'm in my near end of submitting documents to NVC.

I have question about passport clearance and police certificate.

I applied in local passport office for clearance in chennai.

This will cover for police certificate as well?

Coz in US consulate website for chennai under police certificate it says just collect clearance from local passport office it doesn't say to go police station or anything.

So please help me in confusion.

for getting a pcc from passport office you have to submit to passport office along with application form and supporting documents a police clearance certificate from your local police station or city commissioner office or from the superintendents office .. which ever authority in your city issues the local certificate .
