OKAY! I have been reading all of the consulate interviews and there is a large percentage of time that they ask if the beneficiary has visited the US! My husband has never been here. I am going there, but I think he needs to come here for a week. We are married...okay...granted...I just want to spend more time with him, LOL. But, we have to establish a relationship and I am very concerned that we saw each other physically for the first time and got married in the same week in Hong Kong.

USCIS/NVC understand newlyweds...most def. ones from India since we still have arranged marriages to this date. They will not be expecting all sorts of joint property, assets, car insurance etc. You can't produce this fast enough if you are filing right after marriage. You will have to make sure that he has his info/stuff together at the interview stage. I am married to my wife for 2 months now and I have not see her in over month + and I am not applying a visitor visa for her...It makes no sense to, and it has better chances to throw up flags. I can assure you if they ask these questions when he is on the hot seat during the interview he will be sweating bullets and most probably flub up. Visit him all you want, but don't have him come here until he get's his IR-1/CR-1 visa.

As another person said in this thread. Bear down those 7-9 months and then you have a lifetime together. It's hard, I know. I have my ups and downs (I'm sure all of use here have them every once in a while). But, you just have to take it one day a time...

Good Luck on your Journey...
