Hello! This is my first time using this forum. I submitted my I-129f petition back in July. My fiance (who is in Canada) moved to a new apartment in December. I contacted USCIS who told me how to change his address. I followed all of their instructions. In January, our petition was approved!!!!!!! However, we could not get any information on what address was listed for him. I finally got the contact number for NVC. They updated his address and told me to wait patiently for my fiance to receive his Packet 3. I have called several times and gotten nowhere. Finally the other day NVC gave me the phone number for Department of State. They told me that his address had never been changed and worse....his packet was sent out to him back in February!!! I've been trying to get a response from Montreal ever since I received the approval. I just e-mailed them again the other day. They won't respond! Department of State told me that I will need to prove that it is not our fault that it went to the wrong address in order for Montreal to re-mail the Packet 3. But I can't do that if they won't respond!

I feel like I will NEVER get a response, meanwhile our approval period is dwindling. Any suggestions???

It hurts to know that we were so close and have now been put so far behind...what should I do???

Keep emailing MTL. They will have to respond sooner or later, or download the forms for packet 3 from USCIS and the MTL website and send them in without P3.

MTL is horrible for contacting people and is horribly slow when they do.

Just go onto the website and download the forms needed for pk 3. Look for the topic " k-1ers waiting for Montreal" in the Canada Portal Forum. Lots of great info and helpful hints.
