My K1 fiancee is going to pay her Documentation Verification Fee tomorrow. She has a little less than 3 weeks before her interview. I hope that will be soon enough. I believe the fee is 650 pesos. Is that correct? Does she also need to pay for her daughter who will come with her using a K2 visa?

I did Documentation Verification, What a joke. Finally after many phone calls and torturing the USEM decided to stop trying it.

Delbros was in bed with USEM.

Now that was really a joke.....

I received the info for documentation verification from this page and its links: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/129059-manila-embassy-k1-visa-guide/. I guess some of the stuff is out of date now. One less thing to worry about. Thanks.

The guides here are woefully negligent in having current information. One of the drawback of this site. And, even some of us that have been through the process find that things have changed since our turn. The most current information is on the US Embassy Manila website. That information is updated monthly, and it doesn't do any good to post the direct link to that information either, because it also changes monthly. But, here is the latest version:

They were so backlogged that nothing was moving. That experiment failed big time.

I made at least 100 calls to Delbros and talked the gay guy (Robbie from Delbros) that was fielding questions and doing follow up. Finally he quit his job and after that it wasn't too long that Delbros and USEM gave up the stupid experiment of DV

It was a bigger joke than even CFO.

It held up our Visa by almost 30 days...

My wife and I were stuck in DV so long the 90 day maximum was reached. Document Verification was stopped in 2008.

As for the K1 visa guide the author is no longer on VJ. I tried to contact him to update the guide with no response.

I am on limited time now, but if anyone wants to help create an updated guide please contact me.

As previously stated, the US Embassy Manila (USEM) website has the most current directions. The K1 visa is under the immigrant visa section even though it is a non-immigrant visa.
