i sent to nvc yesterday inquiring about my case which is already compelet and here is their reply any advice, dont know what is that exactuly mean pls help

=====================================================

Please be advised that we schedule interview appointments based on the capacity of the respective U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. We are unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

The applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily qualified cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers under the numerical limitations prescribed by statute. The designated representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified of an appointment date as soon as the numbers have been received. The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

An immigrant visa is usually valid for six months from the date it is issued. It may be used to apply for admission into the United States any time during its validity.

I was told by the NVC this morning that yes they are scheduling interviews, but the April interviews are filled. They said there is a very limited amount of slots due to the fact the embassy is just starting up again. So I think it means your going to be scheduled as soon as there is a slot for you, it's the same thing I heard today too! Still we have hope for a May interview on our horizon, which is far better than what we have been going thru... the embassy being closed and no timeframe to work with... so I am hopeful and you should be too! YAY!!! Waaahooo!!! :dance:

I just called the NVC and they said that they have no idea about scheduling interviews, and when i asked her so does that mean NVC has nothing to do with the case once it is forwarded to Cairo she said no but Egypt is a different situation

how do you talk to the NVC people and get this information ? :D

Sam, I know they all seem like robots at first, you just begin to ask them questions after they read off their prepared speech.

I would say to them:

"I know the embassy is opening up soon and that the NVC has begun to reschedule and schedule interviews. " Also I know there is a limited amount of slots available due to the reopening of the embassy, I would like to know if I am rescheduled for April, or if a May interview is likely?" "While I realize Egypt is a different situation than most embassies it would really give me some peace of mind if you can tell me anything."

Try this and see if it helps at all! Let me know!

Sam... BE FREAKIN HAPPY!!! WAAAHOOOO... Really I see this as excellent news, now you know your not stuck in line with us NVCers! I thought about it and it seems the embassy would take care of their own backups first before opening slots for NVC backups... ya know?! You will tell us right after you tell your wife, you know sort of a moral booster for the rest of us! :lol:
