I'm curious, in the case of a K-1 visa what form is currently needs to be submmited (in the year 2011)= is it DS-156 or DS-230?

If I understand correctly, packet 3 requires that one of the above mentioned forms needs to be completed and returned in order to receive an interview date AND packet 3 provides a check list of items needed for the interview...is this correct?

I'm struggling with the idea that its just that simple  LOL

Many thanks

There's your answer doll. In order to receive your interview date, you have to complete the DS-230 (Part 1) and return in to the Embassy. However, I know a few people have had issue with emailing it. So, I can't tell you if that will work.

FYI...There is a post with the Packet 3 list in the Caribbean portal, that will give you all the list of documents you will need to carry to the interview. The directions will tell you to fill out the DS-230 (Part 1) and will tell you what other documents will need to be completed. You will send the DS-230 back at which point they will send you Packekt 4 (your interview letter).

If you search a little further back, you can find both 3 and 4 on here. The only thing that has really changed are the prices... and maybe the amount of passport photos you must bring with you to medical and interview.
