My interview is in a week. My fiancee had filed a k1 visa for someone in the past, but they are divorced now. They got divorced in 2010 february and she filed for me in june, we have been approved by the uscis and my interview is in a weeks time,my question is , from this part of the planet, a lot of k1s are always denied , the reasons the COs give is "there is no concrete plans towards their wedding, so they termed it as fraud". For those of you that had scaled this hurdle, I want to know what you all said right concerning your wedding plans that you were approved. Once you say to the COs that you did an introduction, its automatic disapproval. I need help

First of all welcome to VJ and when you have chance please update your timeline. To answer your question it is tricky because everybody is not even asked of there wedding plans by the CO if I were you I would look under embassy reviews and read past interview questions and practice from there. You can always answer that question by saying you will marry in a small court wedding in the first 90 days... My husband(then fiance) was not asked any questions about our wedding plans but like I said every CO is different. GOOD Luck and as a reminder :time:

Thnx patient2010. COs in Nigeria asked those questions. And its unfortunate that embassy reviews from nigeria are not posting comments. :( what do I do ?

I just looked under embassy reviews for Nigeria and there are some review questions that people have posted there. Or you can look under past interviews on the right of the screen portal page and look under members timelines a lot of people post there experience there as well. If you look under my timeline on my page I posted my review and questions that my husband(then fiance) were asked. Like I said they may or may not ask you that question please dont stress out about that one question. You just need to review as many questions here on VJ and be confident in your answers. Make sure you have enough evidence with you phone logs, chat logs, pictures any and everything you can think of and make sure the evidence is from the beginning of the relationship to the present. Review Review Review....Good Luck to you and dont stress use that energy to gain confidence

Whatever you do, since you are for a K-1 visa, make sure you don't fall for the trick when they ask you if dowry was paid. That was how my then fiancée was denied the first time. The CO said she was convinced we have a legit relationship but thinks we were already married so they could not give her a fiancée visa. It mostly depends on the CO that interviews you. Be sure you answer confidently and truthfully. Good Luck.
