London Interview Date??

After 5 blissful years of marriage in the UK, my husband (US Citizen) and I decided to relocate with my 9yr old son to the US. Having already dealt with the challenges of the UK Immigration service when my husband moved to the UK, we knew that this would not be an easy process, but we had no idea how rough this journey would be!! We have now been apart (except for visits) for over 9 months which has been absolutely horrid. Although some people seem to find the NVC helpful, any time that either my husband or I call, I find them extremely unhelpful.

Finally, both my son and my cases were closed at the NVC on Feb 14th and we are now waiting on interview dates for the London Embassy. On calling the NVC on Friday 25th they still can't give us interview dates. Has anyone experience of recent IR-1 interview scheduling at London? Did you manage to get a date from the NVC on the telephone?

PS - Thank you to Visajourney for providing so much information and letting us know that we're not the only ones going through this process

Pami sorry to hear you had such a hard time, i read in the past that people also call the embassy if they dont a date. It took nearlly 2weeks for my letter to come through with my interview date for Frankfurt. If you havent heard anything by the end of next week i would call the embassy and see if they can directly give you a date! Good Luck!!

They dont schedule interviews until the 1st 2 weeks of the month following case closure, so you should get an email from them by around 14th March.

Have you had your medicals yet? The London Embassy will not schedule interviews until they have received the medical results.

Thanks for the replies to my questions with regards to interview dates. My husband received an e-mail last night from the NVC with interview dates/times for my son and me. We have been given 28th April, which will be 73 days from case complete, so still a couple of months to go!
