After reading so much here on VJ and asking others whether or not to see a Civil Surgeon re: I-693. I wanted to post this as there may be others from Morocco as well that may need this information for future reference. I was told that if the vaccination report done by the doctor in Casablanca was checked marked at the bottom "vaccination history incomplete" that a Civil Surgeon would need to sign off on the I-693. It just so happens, we would have gotten a RFE as my husband didn't receive a Hepatitis B shot which is required according to the chart here in the USA. The Civil Surgeon also said the TB Xray is not sufficient and a TB skin test is required by USCIS so we had to do that as well today. The Dr. said so many surgeons sign off on the forms and do not follow the guidelines and the couple goes to interview and are told to redo the vaccination's. He has had at least 10 couples needing to redo the i-693 and repay.

Today's cost was 125.00 for the Civil Surgeon, 64.99 for the Hepatitis shot. I told the Dr. that extra vaccinations are not required and he said yes I know, but the Hepatitis B is required and it was not listed on his shots that he received in Morocco.

Anyway, I know many people got through w/o any extra shots needed and no Civil Surgeon, but according to Immigration office here in Cincinnati, it is required if the box is checked marked incomplete on his vaccination report.

Anyway, hope this bit of information works for those wondering should I or shouldn't I......
