Waited a month for Visa appointment.... whats going on?

Hi everyone,

I applied the ds-160 form for my girlfriend in december. shes from thailand. We spent the whole of January trying to book a available slot for the interview but until now theres still no availabe slots. Anyone else experiencing this? Applying through bangkok's consulate fyi. On her ds-160 we stated that shes planning to come to the states on 25th January 2011, its February now will that have any negative effect on her application?
