Good morning,

Starting off on my K-1 adventure in the next week and have the usual generic questions (that have probably already been answered a 1,000 times before but I just can't seem to find it). I hope some of these questions/answers are beneficial to others! Please note, I'm filing this for my fiancee who lives in Colombia.

1. Questions about address:

---My lease is up in May for the apartment I am renting. It'd be easier if I put my parents address down since they aren't going anywhere any time soon and I don't want there to be any delay with calling for an address change. They live in the same state (VA). Would this be alright? My only concern for putting this down as my address is my personal checks are under a different address - would this cause confusion?

---I graduated from college two years ago so my living situation for the past 5 years is quite sporadic. I've read this could be cause for concern to folks - should I include a statement indicating why I have moved once a year for the last few years?

---My fiancee was an Au Pair here and was at two different houses in 9 months due to traveling around, should I include a paragraph indicating that's the reason for two houses or would they not care?

2. Sending the package:

---I've seen photos of people sending packages with multiple folders in one. I planned on just having one document with a big binder clip up top and everything filed neatly in it, one after the other in order. My concern for multiple folders is one may get lost and it's better to have them all in one place. So long as it looks neat are there any thoughts on presentation? I've seen the photos but again, they had multiple files...

3. Her situation:

---Her father is not in the picture at all and isn't even on her birth certificate. She came on a visa last year as an Au Pair and said she didn't include her father's information on that document. As it's not on any of her official documents, is it OK to just put N/A?

4. Work:

---Similar to my living situation - my work situation has been sporadic due to being in college (working over breaks). Should I indicate all of these jobs event though most were very short-term and not included on my W2s. And if so - should I mention the reasoning for so many jobs in such a short period of time so they don't think I can't hold down a job? My current job I've been at for almost 2 years.

Thanks all for your help and sorry for the questions! Haven't seen these before and thought someone could use the help too.

I case there are others after me who would be interested to know a few of the answers - this is what I came up with:

1.

--Putting down my parents address works fine so long as you ensure you get all the documents.

--It's OK to note about sporadic moving, but it really doesn't reflect anything they care about.

2.

--Presentation is down to preference, just make sure you include everything and it's easy to understand.

3.

--If he's not on the birth certificate, don't worry about it.

4.

--Noting it on the supplemental sheet is fine.
