Hello,

my friends (husband+wife) won DV2011 and now they have appointment date. All they need is I-134.

I was wondering or i can be a sponsor?

I start part time job on August 12, 2010 for one wage, but from January 1st 2011 I'm getting full time. I will make approximately 24k in 2011.

My wife will make 24k also.

So our income will be ~48k per 2011.

If i'm sponsor i must show 24k and household size count to 3? , or i need to show 48k and household size count to 4?

So i need to show bank statements or so, i have only ~7k in savings..

Do i need to send any tax return form if i'm currently employed?

Thank you for answer..

Will be household size of 4 if sponsoring two people.

The consulates tend to prefer evidence of income over assets.

Income evidence would be:

  • IRS Transcripts for 1 to 3 past years.
  • Copies of pay-stubs going back 6 months.
  • Letter from employer.

My last return for 2009 is very low, because i was not working for most of the year and made only ~4k. I still didn't fill out for 2010, but i was working only from August 2010, so my household income was only ~12k. From January 1st 2011 i and my wife started full time job with annual income 48k.

So, can i be a sponsor if i show returns for 2009 (self employed gross income only 4k) and pay stubs from me and my wife from current employer with current income? OR they will dismiss me as a sponsor even though i will be making more than enough this year?
