I just received my visa package via Xpresspost from Vancouver and it was damaged and torn in transport!! I was surprised my passport didn't fall out, the whole side and most of the top of the envelope was opened. Even the envelope inside which states DO NOT OPEN, any attempt to open this envelope with invalidate contents. I emailed the consulate right away with what to do. Ophelia, who I dealt with on the day of my interview, called me back right away. She said I could try to cross with the envelope as it was or send it back to her and they would make sure everything was there and put it in another sealed envelope and Xpresspost it back to me. Has anyone else had this happen? The lady at Canada Post said she has never seen an envelope that damaged before, not that that made me feel any better. I was pretty upset when I received it. I am going to send it back but wanted to know if anyone else has gone thru this and did everything turn out alright? I thought the worrying and stress was over but I won't rest easy till I have everything back in my hands in one piece, sealed the way it should be.

Oh no... I would return it too. Take no chances at the US border. I live here & feel like I get the 3rd degree just coming home. Congrats on your approval!
