I submitted a I-130 and I-129 visa for my spouse who is currently waiting in Argenting while both our cases are still pending. Our I-130 was recieved July 19th and our I-129 was recieved Aug. 23 2010. I am pregnant and due December 18tha and so I am very nervous that my husband won't be able to join me for the birth of our baby.

I have some questions that could ease some of my anxiety:

First off we are trying to prepare what is needed for the interview, while things are pending in hopes that once his paperwork is recieved we could speed things along or possible request for an earlier interview with a petition for expedite at the embassy in Argentina.

Questions:

1.My husband lived abroad in Costa Rica for two years. I have tried to call and get information on how to collect a police report as requested for the interview. I was told that he would have to obtain that in person in CR. I can't find that anywhere in writing on the consular website. Does that mean he won't have to submit that information. Should he write a letter of explanation?

2.My husband is living in a small coastal town in Argentina where there are no street signs. We were thinking to change his address to some family in Buenos Aires. I called the 800 number to ask a representative about this and they said that anytime you do a change of address it can slow the process time down. I wanted to do this to try and speed the paperwork along but I just wonder how he will be notified and if the paperwork will be delivered correctly?

3. My husband has been the states many times with temporary visas growing up. His mother has lost his old passports. How important is it for him to have all his passports at the time of interview?

4. My husband overstayed his last entry about 5 years ago. He overstayed 2 years. How might this effect him at the time of interview?

5. My last question is about translations. We have our marriage certificate translated with an offical stamp. Do we need his birth certificate and police records translated from spanish to english as well and if so, can we just have the certified translastion without paying for the stamp. All this is adding up and I don't want to take short-cuts, but I only want to do what is neccesary cost wise.

I am also thinking about sending in a new expedited letter with newest doctor reports and infomation on our baby. Would I be able to send that into the NVC or California Office if it's still pending at the time.

Thanks for any help!
