Hi All,

Just here to vent really ...

It's been 7 weeks today since NVC resumed processing (resumed, what a joke) on our daughter's case ... step daughter of US Citizen - parents married before her 18th birthday etc. It's actually been 9 weeks since we sent the requested documents but that's another story!!!)

So, when I call NVC the normally friendly staff are now cold and more like the USCIS drones.

"We resumed processing on July 9th, call back in 2 weeks".

"But what do I do if it goes over the 8 weeks you say is the maximum it can take?"

"Sir, I told you already, call back in two weeks."

Just so fecked off with the whole thing. My daughter is living on her own in Ireland while we wait for this visa ... I see everyone who applied with/after us get their approval and getting their visas and we have nothing.

I can't see what the delay is. No illegal stays in the US, no criminal record, no name that is similar to a name on a watch list, no nothing.

Anyway, just venting. I think I'll call our senator and see if he can speed things up a little.

R.
