My fiance has his interview on October 5th in Casablanca, Morocco. I am in the last stages of finishing all the necessary documents to send to him including the I-864 which the Embassy ask for instead of the I-134. Prior to this, I was not working and was using much of my assets which qualified me to meet the income requirements.

After graduation on August 15th, I had an interview and was hired. The position does not start until Sept. 14th so close to the interview date Oct 5th. Here is the problem: I need a letter of employment to send soon to my fiance. I told my employer this the other day and she said this will not be a problem, I will write a letter stating that you were hired on Sept. 14th. Here is the PROBLEM, I was thinking this morning, there is no way of knowing what my starting salary will be, due to the fact that I will be working with different clients each day and their insurance company pays me by the hour, so I will be getting different rates each day.

How do I go by asking my employer to just add a salary if she does not know yet herself, I mean she just can't lie and write something. I need a salary to put on the income part of the form along with my child support. Right now, I could qualify alone on just assets and be fine, but Morocco is a difficult consulate and this job came at a perfect time, but I just don't know what to do about this letter of employment.

Also, since I already have all documents ready to submit, like my assets such as 401K, 1 year of bank statements, savings, child support income, etc. should I go ahead and send this as evidence to the consulate to be on the safe side since my job is so new? I know it's not required if you have sufficient income, but I want them to see that my fiance will financially will be okay.

Any advice please soon this morning, regarding income on employment letter. I go to see them at 10:00am today.

I'm assuming you're not an independent contractor since you're getting a employment letter right? How many hours were you hired to work per week? At what rate? Since you're daily pay will fluctuate I would have your employer put the hired hours x the hired pay rate on the employment letter.

Also if this were my situation I would include the other financial info as well. IMHO it's better to have more than not enough.

Correct, I am not an independent contractor. The hours can be from anywhere from 40 hours plus a week. It all depends on the patients. Some of the staff members work as many as 60 hours or more if they want. There is no way of knowing the hours yet as well. As I mentioned in my post, the RATE depends on how much their medical insurance can pay. So it varies from patient to patient. The rate can be $15 hour or $22 an hour, I have no clue yet until I start working. This is why, I am confused as to ask my employer what to put as salary so the embassy can see some kind of salary stated.

Ok that helps a lot! Have your employer do the minimums (40hrs x $15) since you will get ATLEAST those amounts. That would give you a salary of atleast $31,200 per year which is well above the poverty guidelines.

Ask your new employer to write a letter with an amount mentioning "potential income" based on similar positions. Your employer can even mention that you were hired recently. Most of all just be honest...If you don't have to hide anything, then don't at all. These are basic requirements.
