Hi y'all!

So I've been in the states for a while now and trying to get going with the AOS (hopefully Monday!).

I'm getting a tiny bit bored and I really want to do something productive (I doubt reading Sparks all days has ever gotten anyone anywhere special). I was thinking about volunteering/interning at the Humane Society .. that's absolutely ok on a K-1/ AOS pending, right? (I did research that on VJ before asking - but) What about compensation for commuting costs? It'd cost me about 10 bucks to get there every day so I was hoping for some kind of free bus pass  Would that make it a paid volunteer position/internship?? Anyone any suggestions?

Are there any sources where it says exactly what you're allowed to do before having the EAD or GC?

Thanks everyone! :)

ég eri ekki lengur kalt, hef aftur líf. lifnar mín sál, heiminn mála.

bless bless Þýskalandi! ég elsker þig!
