Senator Nelson will vote YES on the Wall Street Reform bill which may be headed to a vote in the US Senate as early as Friday.

Nelson joins Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill who are standing up to Wall Street and demanding strong regulations that ensure consumers and small businesses are protected.

Nelson was vying for political clout by holding out because he voted in support of the same provisions before. In any case, what a relief. I'll be interested to hear what Elizabeth Warren has to say about this, once it passes and is signed into law.

It's nowhere near strong enough in terms of corporate governance reform. They missed a huge trick by not mandating majority voting. Isn't it ironic that in this great country of ours a director may be elected on one vote, even if it's his own, while in evil socialist Britain there's been majority voting enshrined in company law since at least the turn of the 20th century.
