If I meet a platypus I'll stand right in front of 'em!

Montel is an ex-Marine, a straight shooter and a stand-up guy.

There's no rule that says I have to go along with everything he says.

I do form my own independent thoughts as do you.

I just don't put anyone down for not agreeing.

Normally, I wouldn't put you down for not agreeing, but in this instance I'm going to be a complete hypocrite because what I perceive as your ignorance on this matter is the very reason why my BFF and people like her are not allowed medical marijuana. So naturally, it makes me made when an opinion that is illogical inflicts undue pain on another.

If "medical" marijuana becomes legal,

recreational use will still be illegal but

there will be a big spike in cases of multiple sclerosis.

I hear there's a lot of that going around...

doubtful, my mom has had m.s. for 11 years this month and not suffered pain as a result of the disease other than the doctor who is a pain in the a$$ and the pain from her weekly intra-muscular injection she gives herself. it's most unfortunate that given the neurological basis of the disease there is little uniformity to symptoms or progression.

i would rather see pot legal so our broke guvment can tax it dangit!

i did not read the whole thread before i posted...as mentioned my mom has m.s. and has for a significant period. we have been very lucky as she is still able to work and to look at her you would not know that she is very sick; a very decent quality of life all things considered. with all of that said if she experienced pain i would absolutely want her to have marijuana as an option if it helped her feel better.

i know that cancer patients and hiv/aids patients here in san francisco have it available to them and it helps them manage pain and develop an appetite where none would exist given just how sick they are and how much SICKER the meds for those disease make them. give it to them i say. now clearly i'm not a lawmaker or even a very smart person for that matter but i am a compassionate one, ease their lives or sadly in some cases their path to an easier passing. i wholeheartedly agree that marijuana poses less threat than alcohol.
