hi everyone, i just want to ask about our situation of my husband right now. he is on disability from his country in U.S and were married for 1 month already and also I'm pregnant for 5 months already his life standard is only average. He don't have a house in the U.S and He only live with his mom. we are trying to file for a spousal visa next month July but we don't know how long it will take for us to wait for the approval and i will be giving birth on October. Is there any possibility that i can leave the country from Philippines next year and can bring our child? Or we still have to petition the baby? Is the baby needs to have a passport in interring to the U.S? what are the documents we need to prepare for this? And how much we need to spend for this? please i need your help. thank you so much and replies will be appreciated.

No real shortcuts to go faster (unless he was in the military or something similar).

Your looking at a 9 month to 1 year wait on average for a visa to get through (will vary).

If your child is born prior to the visa issued, (which will happen in your case), you will have to get USC for the child (proving the USC is the father, get passport, file for birth abroad)

Your costs will vary depending on what is required - read the guides above to start.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
