Hi VJers. I just want to ask for all your help regarding my situation. I was married in the US before. I am Filipina and I married a USC. I came back to the Philippines. I never registered my foreign marriage at the Philippine consulate back then, since as early as a month my ex and I was not doing good anymore so I wasnt able to register the foreign marriage since I dont have his birth certificate, ID, photo for the form needed etc. Now, I am on my last leg of annulment waiting for the Final decree of Annulment. I would want to know if someone here has the same situation as I do. My fiance is planning to file a K1 for me. What should I present for the K1 visa documents needed for the termination of previous marriage? Would the US consular officer ask an annotated copy of my marriage from the NSO or is the court decree ok/enough since it wasnt registered at the consulate, DFA and NSO doesnt have any records either. Would my foreign marriage certificate, my final decree of annulment from the court and my CENOMAR (since I dont have any records in the Philippines, my CENOMAR still is SINGLE)be enough to prove that I am good to marry again? Please help... I would want to know first hand from a real person who went thru this or know something about something as complicated as this. Thanks for your help.
