Police Certificate before NOA 2

4 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Hi I read on one of the guides that it would be advisable to start the Police certificate process before the NOA 2 approval, but I'm not sure how to go about doing this or even if you really can before you have a NVC case number. I am the petitioner so my husband (UK) would be the one to apply for it. Any advise about how to go about doing this would be much appreciated? Or an answer on whether or not he can request a PC while waiting for a NOA2...

You should get your husband to find out how long it would take to get the police certificate. I applied for it as soon as we got our I-130 approved as i wasnt sure how long is was going to take till it actually gets approved and didnt want to risk it being ''out of date''. The police certificate shouldnt be older then 6 months at the time of his interview. Have you sent the I-130 off yet? If ya did when did ya do it?
