dominican K-1 process

Hi,

We are in the process of waiting for our appointment letter from the consulate in Santo Domingo. We received our approval notice 4/27/10 so, I was wondering did anyone have anything to share about how long and what the process is like from here? We have not received our packet yet. I've heard some crazy things about waiting and a waiting list in Santo Dominigo. Does anyone have any idea where I can locate it? Any information would be really helpful. :yes:

Check my timeline and others with similar ones. It my case it took about 2 1/2 months to receive our interview date. I called the Department of State and spoke to the Visa Specialist to get my date. They told me when the date was and when the interview was mailed. I wish you the best with on your journey. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

Thank you, and also thank you for your response, I actually just spoke to DOS, and they said as of today, my fiance' is eligible but there is no date in the system as of yet..:( ....it's funny that you said that, someone else on here told me to call DOS, and inquire about a date. But they told me there was nothing in the system as of yet...to date we just received the approval on April 27th, NVS sent our case/request to SDO on May 3rd.. :(

Hi! I do know that you can go on the Santo domingo embassy website www.santodomingo.usembassy.gov Go into visas then on the left hand menu click on immigrant visas, then when the page comes up, click on list of scheduled appointments and look up your SDO case number to view if you have an appointment in the system. They have all the appointments listed for June and May so they may be running a little slow. Just go into the page often and check to see if they update for July and hopefully your cita will be in there!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
