I 130 filed – No response

I need some help in figuring out the I130 approval procedure. I was in removal proceedings until my case was administratively closed in June 2009. I am married to a US citizen since November 2006 and have a two year old son. We applied for I130 in Feb 2007 but didn’t get any response for almost two years. In May 2009 we got an interview call from CIS. We went to the interview the person who took the interview told us we will get a response back from CIS in next ten days. We didn’t hear anything back. The court also didn’t hear anything back and administratively closed the removal proceedings case in July 2009. I am still waiting for a response on that I130 and haven’t heard anything back from CIS.

What should I do, how can I ask CIS to make a decision on my I130? Can I ask the court to reopen the case and if judge can make a decision on it?

How can I apply for work permit…is there a limit after you can apply for work permit if CIS is not responding on your case? It just doesn’t make sense to not have a work permit when you are married to a US citizen for 4 years?

Appreciate any suggestions, comments.
