Guys, don't be worried about the interviews. Just be prepared. Things change over time. Bangkok is progressively becoming more thorough in their interviews of potential residents. I don't think this is a bad thing. Our relationships are real. They are worth the time and effort we have put into them -- from the initial communication, the first trip, up through this process. We want to be together; this is one of the things we have to do to make that happen.

Scott, I have no idea what you're talking about. We don't take a long time in the restroom; you're just impatient.

Groovy!!! We had massive thunderstorms here now...which is good for my lawn and garden...and waiting for zuc bread loaves 11-15 to finish cooking.

I'm my wife's receptionist now. Thai people call and come by the house all the time. Now she has a Filipina friend. I think I'm gonna get another Non O visa and move back.

I'm being petty of course. Just cracks me up that I thought she would have a problem assimalating here.

I swear it never ends. My sister in law is really sick. Her husband drank himself to death in Thailand and left her 300k British pounds. Now she's sick. Mom is on the way from Si Saket (10 hours)

It is true you don't marry a person, you marry a family. I'm sure this is going to end up me sending Nok back home for awhile.

For all of you who have impending interviews, I wish you and/or your fiancée's all the best.

Like Toma's wife, mine had a fairly uneventful interview. My wife told me shortly afterward that she believed they had already decided on her case and the interview was just a formality. The questioning was light and the lady hardly paid attention to her, but rather was transferring information from my wife's file into the computer. When my wife would give her answer the lady. not looking up, would just say "uh-huh," "ok," "mmmh," etc.

I'm confident for all of you who are next!

And you can thank your stars that the bald man is no longer there interviewing, From the stories, he seemed like the boogie man.

Glad to hear all the good news and that the chances are really high for sucess. We have lots of evidence so we are both feeling confident....but there is that one little part of me that is still worried to death. As the day gets closer Im gonna be climbing the walls here, lol!!!!!!

7 days until Ying's interview and if feels like the time is so slow. We are both getting a little nervous. I have a question though. If she transits through Japan on her way here to Hawaii does she need a Transit Visa? She will arrive and depart the same day and will not leave the Airport. I checked the Delta website and it says "Visa required, except those continuing their journey to a third country on the same day". Does anyone else have any experience with this?

No she wont need a transit visa. They do however make you go through security again. Not sure why.

Thanks for the information. I am very nervous for her, but everyone has went through this and I have seen "less qualified" people get approvals. Even with Thai girls that worked in the bar, not saying anything is wrong with that, just making a point. Really hope our interview isn't has tough as Mrs. Bear's CR1 interview.

I assume you mean a "Lady Bar".

You saw one that got approved recently, in which the embassy knew they worked in a bar? I've never heard of that. It's actually against one of the immigration conditions.
