Trust me... In Singapore DCF will definitely be a faster process than K1. You may be able to get it done in 2 to 4 months. Definitely the way to go in your case...

That only cases where it may be slower is in high fraud locations. Since SIngapore is not a high fraud post, it will be a quicker, better way to the US. But with only 2 months, you will have to be separated for some length of time...

Good luck with the visitor visa, we were denied twice, even with a letter from my Senator. The K1 visas are currently taking longer because of a new law which was past, which I believe does not affect the K3 visas. If you can do the DCF, I recommend it, as I see people who have applied through DCF speed right past us and receive the actual visa before k-1's or K3's even get our first approval! Check out the immigration charts which will give you a very ruff estimate on the time it takes for each visa, barring all name check and rfe delays.

Good luck to you!!!

Thank you so much guys. :)

I will check with my consulate re DCF today.

pardon me but What does DCF stands for ? Its all so new to me since i have been researching on K1 visas only till now. Is DCF a process to get the k3 visa?

i am not even sure about this new law that was passed and affected anyone who file after march!

My fiance is confident about the customs letting me through with a visitor visa but i have serious doubts. Perhaps its my nature. Anyway, it's probabaly luck but this is a risk i will not want to take.

Question - is it safe to assume 6 months for VSC now, too? They've always been faster than the other service centers...
