Tokyo: Can I go to the interview? And when do we get a case number?

I'll be visiting in Japan and we can probably make it work where I'll be there for the interview. But am I allowed to go?

And it says we need a case number to request an interview. Which case number is this? When do we get it?

Yep, you can go. I did and so did many others at the Tokyo Embassy. Just bring your ID (passport) and you should have no problems. You have to leave cell phones, cameras, iPod, etc...with the guards though.

I think going with your SO to the interview is a good idea. I think it can be very scary and nerve-wracking for some people to do it alone. Good Luck!

Oh, I didn't see your second question. I can't remember exactly where the case # is, but I think it is on the NOA 2. Someone else will have to verify this. Gomen!

You can go to the interview although it is not necessary. In my case, they only asked my fiance one question "How did we meet" and that was it

Case# should be the same as the NVC case#. Have you received your packet 3 yet?
