Arrested for Doodling on a Desk? "Zero Tolerance" at Schools Is Going Way Too Far

You can't dress up "doodling on a desk" into an arrestable offence - that's the point that's being made in the OP.

Parents over there just don't tend to put their kids on the same 'your sh-t don't stink' pedestal, as many do here.

I love this stuff, there's no way you can prove it - yet you expect it to stand on merit. Others should believe it simply because you do. Just doesn't work like that.

How about this one?

Teen's 100 offences in one year

What are you trying to illustrate?

I never told anyone what to believe. All I said is that I have never heard of equivalent sensationalized idiocy being reported in Australian papers.

As I said, you can't be that stupid.

Doesn't work that way. You make a point, you have to explain it. You cannot just post random articles and say here.

I guess you are dense. Oh well. Carry on.

When I make a point, I explain it. You just like to find random articles and then claim them to be fact or prove something. It's the same reasoning you have about world ranked cities. You will discredit any internaitonal study and then proceed to claim that since people live in Kentucky, it must be an awesome place. What sort of an argument is that?

Are you really telling me that you can't see what I am trying to say? Everyone else does but you. You said that trivial stories aren't newsworthy in Australia. You have been show several examples. You were also shown a story about a bad news teen, but that doesn't happen there either, right? So what are you, a troll or a dumbfuck?

No dumbfuck, I said that there are plenty of people who are happy to live in Kentucky. Only a person with no self esteem needs a survey to tell him if he is happy or not. Most people know on there own. Who are you trying to convince, yourself?

Didn't say that at all actually. What I said is that we don't sensationalize stories against public workers, as the papers do here. As such, a similar story would not have made the news. Or is the article you posted of a teen committing 100 offenses the same as a school calling the cops on a student. Furthermore, pretending that some innocent teen, did nothing but doodle. Anyways...

As per usual, you guys go on some sort of tangent, find a few articles about something unrelated and think this proves me wrong. it's the same deal as finding a few cases of violence in Australia and thinking this discredits Chicago's much higher crime rate. You basically turn what I said around and don;t pay any attention to the detail.

That's the whole point, it would not have made the media. It kills me you play ignorant to this. What is considered newsworthy here, is probably not newsworthy there. I do also read BBC every few days and can without a doubt say what is considered newsworthy on there, is quite different to what is considered newsworthy here.

Something like this would have been handled by the department of education; rightfully, nothing to see move along.

I guess you didn't post this?

There are billions of people who live in the third world dickhead, so does that mean they are happy?

You are going to have to try something better than that horseshit. That I must have "no self esteem" because I point out that American cities are a joke when compared to those abroad.

Posts prior and after that explained what I meant. Not my problem that you pick and choose points and try to make something out of them that was never intended.

It's not horseshit. I live in reality, you live in google maps street view, along with a few charts and graphs. Oh, and you also live in the US. The only joke here is you, and might I add that you do a fine job. Keep up the good work.

Not my problem that you backtrack on everything you say once you get owned.

You cannot be that stupid. Streetview is how anyone of us can see an area from our seat and without physically going there. It's certainly better than some idiotic random articles that prove nothing.

Streetview is living proof of what something looks like. Or should I just run on your opinion of it must be the best place because people live there. A graph or chart is used to visually illustrate data. It's also sure as hell better than an opinion alone.

Not my problem that you backtrack on everything you say once you get owned.

Cool man. You take a comment out of context, then it's me who backtracks.

Why don't you just come out and say it, anything and everything that speaks against the US is dead wrong. After all, it's why you love these die-Toyota-die articles. Yet, have someone post something against the big three yank ####### auto makers, not only will you attack its creditably, you shrug it off as BS..

And what does one form from a graph, chart or photo? An opinion. You can look at a photo of anyone's home and tell if they are happy or not? Or what if someone was happy and then read on of those surveys only to discover that they really aren't supposed to be happy? There is plenty wrong with the US, but I think the good far outweighs the bad. You're a Toyota lover, fine. You post your US sucks bullshit everyday. You're the miserable #######, not me. No wonder you don't have any friends.

You just don't like it that the mighty Toyota has developed a few cracks in the armor. It's your type that shrugs it off and would crucify any American company that did the same. You're a two faced hypocrite. And everyone here sees you for what you are. Keep telling yourself how much better it is in Australia. Too bad the boss doesn't think so.
